Poker Mama

I was just your average 30 year old stay at home mom, with two kids and one on the way. I spent most of my days cleaning the house, cooking and taking care of Carrie and Chris. During my free time I would watch my favorite soaps on television and surf the internet and wait for my husband to come home later on in the evening. My life was rather dull at this point in time. I would wake up at the same time every morning and do the same thing every day. My monotonous schedule was getting the best of me, I was very bored with my life. This boredom continued until I found mobile poker.

It was a Wednesday afternoon, while I was waiting for my apple pie to finish baking I decided to check my e-mail. When I signed on I saw an advertisement in the upper left hand corner of my screen. The ad read:

“Play poker from your mobile device and win cash!”

I thought it looked interesting and had never heard of mobile poker before. I clicked on the link and was able to download the software quickly to my phone. In just a matter of minutes I was learning to play poker on my cell phone, how exciting! Once I got the hang of it, I felt like a poker pro! The mobile poker software I was using allowed me to chat with other poker players. After playing and chatting for an hour or so, I was hooked. I would spend hours chatting with my new poker playing friends. We would share tips, strategies and advice. We could even play in multi-player tournament modes!

After a few days of playing mobile poker I was ready to step up and start playing for real cash. It was relatively easy to set up my cash account and manage my chips. I was able to find a perfect Texas Hold ‘em room and table for my bank roll. I waited for the current round to end and was dealt cards in a matter of minutes. The dealer handed me the Jay Birds, also known as two jacks. This was a rather favorable hand, so I decided to call my bet after the person sitting on my right. Then came the flop, which revealed one ace and two fives. I was ecstatic, trying not to let my emotions show on the outside. I just received the Jackson Five! This was an amazing hand, especially for my first time playing a real money table with mobile poker.

I tried to keep it cool, the great thing about mobile poker is that people who struggle with bluffing never have to worry about it again. Players are able to play in the comfort of their very own home, or on the go. Mobile poker players never have to worry about putting on a “poker face”, no one can see you. I use this to my advantage all the time. Anyways, I kept raising my bets. By the time the river card was placed on the table, I had gone all in! I was just waiting with excitement and anticipation for the money in the pot to be all mine. The last card was turned and it was a two of spades. I had just won a healthy sized jackpot of $300 in real cash!

After this big win, I decided to play another round. This time my cards were not as great and I ended up folding. After I folded two times in a row, after receiving less than perfect cards I signed off. I couldn’t wait to tell my husband about all the money I had just won, on my first try! I currently play mobile poker on a weekly basis. I have a strict budget set up on what I can gamble. Some days are good and some days are bad. I always remind myself that I play this game for fun and never get to upset about loosing. Mobile poker is a great form of entertainment, which I plan on playing for years to come.
