It seems like everyone these days has poker fever. Poker is everywhere! Every time I turn on the television I see poker, in magazines, books and even on my mobile phone. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining one bit (I LOVE POKER).

World Poker Tour on Television

I remember the days when I would try and watch the World Poker Tour shows and be incredibly bored! I would sit with my boyfriend, having no idea what was going on and eventually fall asleep. Finally, I decided to learn how to play poker. At the time it felt like everyone I knew was into playing poker. My boyfriend, my brother, even some of my grandparents were getting in to the poker craze. It was time for me to learn how to play! It only took me a few minutes to understand the basic concept of the game. There are still a few rules that are a little vague, but I am sure with time I will be the poker masta’! So, now whenever I watch the World Poker Tour on t.v I acutally understand what it going on!

Am I ready?

So, I have been playing poker for a couple of months now. Started on partypoker.com, I play a few times a week. I was curious if I should start playing for real cash. I am on a pretty tight budget and don't want to lose big. When did you guys start playing for real money? Is it worth it, or just a total poker rip off?

My weekend of poker

I had such a fun weekend! On Saturday I went to K-mart to pick up some cleaning supplies for my house and stumbled across a really cool poker set! The set came with 2 decks of cards (poor qualuty, note to self: buy better cards!)and enough poker chips to spend an entire night playing. I could wait to get the set unwrapped and start playing! I am used to playing online poker at www.partypoker.com, so it took me a few minutes to get used to everything and set the cards up right. Playing real poker feels so much more authentic than online. I really had to practice my poker face this weekend! On Saturday night my brother and his girlfriend came over, we had a few drinks all played for a few hours.
