Dan Harrington is known for being a passive and patient player. He will wait hours for the perfect hand. Many modern professional poker players are aggressive and willing to struggle to make a hand with any cards. Harrington is the exact opposite of these showy, flashy players. His presence can almost be dismissed at tables if you do not play close enough attention. Dan “Action Man” Harrington was born in 1945 in the small town of Cambridge, MA. His goal was to never be a poker player, he wanted to be in the business industry.

In 1995 Harrington surprised everyone a won the WSOP bracelet and jackpot! In the same weekend, her won an additional bracelet and the large tournament. Even though Dan has not won any other WSOP tournaments, he still finds time to play and be involved in the poker industry. The action man always finds himself in the top ten of these tournaments and gives the competitors a run for their money. Harrington is responsible for writing a couple books about his theories and experience in poker. He has also lent his name to a mobile video game as well.
