Cyndy Violette Poker Player Biography

Cyndy Violette was born in Queens, New York but spent most of her childhood in flash Las Vegas, Nevada. Playing cards was always a popular pastime her family and friends enjoyed. Cyndy always had a competitive side, however it wasn�t until 1984 when she began playing poker professionally. Her first tournament was in Lake Tahoe and she actually won! The jackpot Cyndy won was worth $74,000 and was the largest jackpot ever won by a woman until that time. After this tournament Violette made her decision to become a professional poker player.

Soon Cyndy became tired of the long nights and smoky casinos. She left the game in the mid 80�s after marrying and starting her own family. After a few years of being away from the tables and going through a divorce, Cyndy made a triumphant return to poker in 1993. She said the missed the challenge and was drawn into poker by mysterious forces. Traveling from California to Vegas to Atlantic City Violette was working hard and making her mark on the poker world. She has been given the opportunity to compete in the World Poker Tour since 1995.

Violette has been able to use her natural talents of confidence, creativity and competitiveness to assist her in winning major championships and huge pots. In many interviews Cyndy has stated that her healthy life style has assisted her in beating out her opponents. She also uses a positive to enhance her playing style and beat up on all of the competition.
