Doyle Brunson Poker Player Biography
Doyle Brunson aka Texas Dolly is one of the most recognizable names in the poker industry. Many people say he is fully responsible for exposing poker as a mainstream, profitable game. Doyle was born in Texas the year was 1933 and poker wasn’t always his first, true love. Bronson was an excellent basketball player, who helped his high school team to win many championships. However, Doyle’s basketball hopes would soon be shattered. He was badly injured and told by many doctors he would never be able to play again. Brunson was disappointed, he decided to turn his focus onto other passions like poker and his education.
After becoming a successful card player, touring with the WSOP and racking up hundreds of thousands in winnings Doyle began to explore other outlets of the poker industry. Doyle Brunson wrote a wildly popular book called “Super System” and followed it up with a sequel. These two books are a great read for anyone interested in the game of poker and you can trust the advice Doyle gives, he as 50 + years of experience!
To this day, Doyle still plays poker and schools many new kids at the table. He is always a favorite and everyone seems to love him, whether he wins or not. Doyle Bronson is a true legend. Doyle does not want to quit playing until he absolutely has to. He enjoys teaching others to play and never seems to tire of poker.
