California High/Low Split

This is also played as in other cases, but a single joker is used as a bug. In this game played ace-to-five low values, the pot is split by high hand and low hand. The winning low in this game is possible with and 8-high or better low. If low is not qualified by any hand, the whole pot is taken by the high hand. Cards speak is a game played wherein no player declares intention of winning the high or low half of the pot, or both. The best hands win in this game, by just showing their cards. A hand like low straight or flush can win both high and low, which is called ‘scooping’ or ‘hogging’ the pot, by using ace-to-five low values.
